During Laser World of Photonics China 2026, Focuslight will deliver two tech talks alongside the exhibition, sharing our latest technology developments and industry insights with the photonics community.
Presentation Title: Micro-Optics Without Limits: Varied Technologies, Powerful Datacom Solutions

Presenter: York Tian, Vice President of Laser Optics Business Unit at Focuslight
Time: March 19th, 14:45 – 15:10 (local time)
Location: Forum Area at Hall N5, AI Computing & Optical Interconnect Forum
Driven by the rapid growth of AI, cloud computing, and hyperscale datacenters, data communication systems are facing increasing demands for higher bandwidth, lower power consumption, smaller form factors, and faster go-to-market. Traditional optical component designs, often constrained by a single process or material platform, struggle to balance performance, cost, manufacturability, and reliability – placing significant pressure on system integrators and module manufacturers.
In this presentation, we will share how Focuslight, guided by the philosophy of “Micro-Optics Without Limits,” has built a comprehensive portfolio of micro-optics manufacturing platforms. These include Photolithography-RIE (reactive ion etching), Wafer-Level Simultaneously Structuring, Precision Glass Molding, and Wafer-Level Optics Precision Imprinting. Within an integrated global manufacturing system, these platforms enable end-to-end solutions – from design and validation to volume production for applications such as pluggable optical modules, FAUs, OCS, PICs, while empowering the roadmaps and ecosystems of CPO, NPO, and OIO.
Through real-world application examples, the presentation demonstrates how micro-optics can improve coupling efficiency, optimize assembly tolerances, reduce system complexity, and accelerate the transition from development to mass production. Our goal is clear: when the industry faces challenges, “you bring the challenge, we bring the solution.”
Presentation Title: Engineered V-Groove Arrays Upgraded: Driving the Transformation of High-Channel Fiber Array Integration

Presenter: Hao Zhang, R&D Manager at Focuslight
Time: March 20th, 10:15 – 10:30 (local time)
Location: Forum Area at Hall N5, New Product Launch 1: Integrated Photonics and Optical Communication
As high-speed optical communication systems continue to evolve toward higher channel counts, greater integration density, and tighter assembly tolerances, precise and scalable alignment of multi-channel optical fibers has become a critical enabling capability. This presentation introduces the latest technology upgrades and product developments of Focuslight’s precision-designed V-groove arrays, and explains how wafer-level manufacturing and structural innovation support the demands of next-generation optical communication systems.
The talk will highlight the significant performance improvements achieved across this product family, as well as advanced fabrication capabilities that enable multiple pitch configurations and complex surface geometries within a single array — including V- and U-shaped grooves, concave and convex surfaces, and freeform structures. In addition, several newly released product configurations will be presented, covering different material systems, channel counts, and geometric parameters. These solutions provide greater design flexibility for high-channel applications such as fiber array units (FAU), low-loss PIC connectors, and optical communication modules.
